VMQ
VMQs (silicones) are silicon-based and made up of oxygen, hydrogen and carbon. Extreme temperature range and low temperature flexibility are characteristics of silicone compounds.
Silicone compounds are used in many food and medical applications due to their cleanliness and lack of odor or taste. However, they are not suitable for dynamic O-ring seals due to low tear resistance and high coefficient of friction. Silicone is resistant to many factors, including hot air, ozone, UV rays, oils and brake fluids. Additionally, it can be composed to be electrically resistant, conductive or flame retardant.
This compound has excellent resistance to extreme temperatures and excellent resistance to dry heat.
