FVMQ

FVMQ (fluorosilicone) combines the good high and low temperature properties of silicone with limited resistance to fuel and oil. Fluorosilicones provide a much wider operating temperature range than fluorocarbon rubbers.

Fluorosilicone offers good stability at extreme temperatures, similar to silicone, along with chemical resistance properties similar to fluorocarbons.

Often specified for aerospace use, fluorosilicone is a highly versatile material that can be used in a wide range of sealing applications.
It offers good compression characteristics and high resistance to fuel, oil and solvents.

Fluorosilicone is ideal for static sealing applications, but is not recommended for dynamic sealing operations, due to limited physical strength, a high coefficient of friction and low abrasion resistance. Standard FVMQ compounds are cured with metal peroxide.
